GEOMAN
50 tons of high-tech performance per printing tower also flatten costs per copy.
The GEOMAN offers a concrete solution to the demand for increased quality combined with decreased costs. High-performance printing couples are the basis for economic and reliable production throughout the press’ entire service life. The GEOMAN’s high efficiency is particularly effective for large print runs including a large number of colored pages. Its high global market penetration since the beginning of the 1990s illustrates the GEOMAN’s extraordinary quality.

High output. The GEOMAN needs minimal change-over times for maximum output. Additional equipment packages* further increase press capacity.
Printing unit. The double-circumference printing unit has no bearer rings, making it the basis for industrial newspaper production and colored newspaper offset.
High degree of automation. Extensive automation options* reduce waste, shorten makeready times, and lead to lower staff expenditures. The most important options include: automated (PPL®) or fully AutomaticPlateLoading (APL®), the fastest automatic webbing-up device on the market (50 meters per minute), QuickStart, and full integration of additional components in the PECOM control.
Optimum maintenance intervals. LifeCycleManagement (LCM) includes process optimization programs that ensure profitability and performance throughout the system’s entire utilization period. The software solution Maintenance System* (MAINSYS), for example, determines econom ically optimal maintenance intervals based on shopfloor data and component runtimes and offers modules for order processing, stockkeeping, and documentation.
printnet® and PECOM control. Press-oriented automation through PECOM, part of the printnet family, encompasses all aspects of electronics, electrics, mechanics, and software relating to presses. printnet’s® modular design can be adjusted to the specific requirements of your printing house, resulting in a user-friendly network in your company, with the press and PECOM system at the core.
Yes, we can.
The GEOMAN is the affirmative answer to your requirements and wishes. Thanks to its flexible design, the GEOMAN is ideally suited for quick and simple implementation of a great variety of press configurations. This supports your customers’ creative production concepts.

High variability. With individual web widths, web width variability*, and extensive web lead variants, the GEOMAN offers the ideal solution for any job. From its double and triple-width folder superstructures to its three former levels and modular turner bar units, the GEOMAN’s versatility has no limits.
Proven folding systems. The GEOMAN’s folding systems can be configured according to requirements. The robust pin-type jaw folder with a 2:3:3 system is designed for high performance with up to 80 pages in broadsheet format. With the pin-type jaw folder with a 2:5:5 system, even 112 pages can be printed in collect run. Folder equipment* such as quarter fold, gluing, and stitching, provides the technical basis for a large degree of value-added depth in inline production.
Complete compatibility. For individual configurations, the GEOMAN can be combined with other components from the manroland modular system set, e.g. the UNISET or REGIOMAN.
Individual drive technology. The GEOMAN can be equipped with individual motor drive per double printing unit or printing couple. This enables simultaneous and independent unit makeready, including parallel plate change. The result: makeready times are reduced and expensive downtimes are minimized.
Quality is a position where the GEOMAN doesn’t waver.
Quality produces quality. The GEOMAN features maximum manroland production expertise. High precision preserves the materials, resulting in low-maintenance operation. Consistently high printing product quality is achieved throughout the entire service life of the press. You, too, can take this position.

High cylinder quality. Blanket and plate cylinders are manufactured from high-quality steel and protected from corrosion by a wear-resistant surface. The cylinder bearings are equipped as standard with triple ring bearing technology. A precisely defined lockup slot geometry ensures a reliable printing plate hold without additional clamping elements.
ClosedLoop control systems. manroland has developed high-quality ClosedLoop control systems* for register control. These systems automatically and reliably provide constant quality and ensure low waste through precise registers and perfect folds. Of course, it is also possible to integrate color control systems.
Heatset printing quality. With a third ink form roller* and three ink vibrator rollers*, the printing units are also excellently suited for heatset production, enabling a combination of newspaper production and high-quality heatset products.
Precise film inking unit. The film inking unit with presetting offers maximum precision for balanced ink coverage – even for difficult subject arrangements and at all speeds. IROLOC* additionally ensures constant pressure of the rubber transfer rollers.
Contactless turbo dampening unit. The three-roller dampening unit operates without contact and enables precise dampening solution application throughout the entire run while maintaining maximum process stability. Exact dampening solution adjustment contributes to consistently high printing quality immediately from the production start.
